Yesterday in chapel, Mrs. Bessire’s 7th and 8th graders sang the entirety of Psalm 139. Things are so much easier to memorize when they are put to song! Mrs. Bessire read the poem, “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein. In the poem, the tree gives and gives and gives to the boy. This reminded her of Someone else who gives…God! Mrs. Bessire shared many verses that list gifts that God has given to us. She encouraged us to focus on our blessings and to consider how we can bless God.
